Monsalve became famous due to her work as the voice of the group Venezuelan girl Chikas as well as the British-based pop group Latin Fiesta, and the Venezuelan Tartara. Monsalve also hosted the television early morning program Alo RCTV in Caracas for over one year. Then she moved in the United States in 2002 where she was a part of numerous commercial and stage productions, including Esther. Herpanic spokeswoman for the giant furniture retailer Rooms to Go was soon named. Monsalve was named the local Telemundo affiliate's sports reporter for their 6pm newscast in 2005. Monsalve was hired by ESPN the following year as the anchor for the Sports channel of ESPN Deportes, broadcasting to Sports Center Hispanic audiences across North America and through ESPN 2 Central and South America. In November 2014, she announced her decision to quit ESPN and then later announced the fact that Univision Deportes was rebranded TUDN.
